Introduction
top
There is a vast amount of information on the Internet about (psycho)pharmaceuticals and pharmacotherapy, but generally a specific medication for specific category of medications is not the main focus.
We have therefore chosen to approach the subject from several directions:
- Categories of medications by disorder (depression, etc.),
- Specific problems (side effects, etc.), and
- Organizations (e.g., government, professional associations).
You can however often find information about a specific medication within the category to which it belongs. If you are looking for specific information (side effects, etc.) about a specific medication, you can naturally also began with that topic.
Information regarding particular categories of psychopharmaceuticals can also be found on the websites of various disorders. Thus there is a lot of information about antipsychotics on websites about schizophrenia. We list such sites within the drug categories (in this case antipsychotics) if the information about pharmaceuticals is distinct from the information about the disorder.
This topic is under construction. Eventually you will also find links to good sites in the following areas:
- Pharmaceutical care,
- nonprescription medications,
- Education and training, and
- Psychostimulants.
